Good production from third baseman Roberto Núñez helped the Halifax Batteries topple the Trois-Rivieres Trifluviens, 8-6. Núñez went 1 for 1 with 3 walks, while scoring 2 runs for the Batteries. Noé Martínez got the win, improving to 2-3. He held the Trifluviens to 4 runs on 5 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 7. The Batteries with just their 7th win in 23 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.

The Batteries got an important contribution from shortstop Ludovico García, who in the bottom of the third hit a full count changeup to right for a 2-run triple. It was his 2nd triple of the season and put the Batteries ahead, 6-1.

"Been a pretty good stretch for me, hitting-wise," said Núñez.
