Wild Pigeons Cut Down Hammers, 5-2
|
Kitchener registered a win at Wild Pigeons Stadium by beating the Hamilton Hammers, 5-2. Pitcher Telémaco Aquino was one reason why the Wild Pigeons triumphed. Aquino picked up the win for Kitchener, going 8.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 5-2. Kitchener has now won 3 straight, while the Hammers have lost 3 in a row.
Belisario Salazar contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With a runner on 3rd, he reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run. His at-bat helped Kitchener get the win.
"I still think this team can play even better," Salazar told the Kitchener Chronicle.
