The Thurso Bucherons rode a solid performance from 28-year-old starting pitcher Jeremy Zinck to a win, beating the Laval Insulaires, 5-2, at Insulaires Field. After today's action, Thurso sits at 25-16, while Laval falls to 13-28.

Thurso used a well-timed hit by Aurelio Martínez to capture the win. The third baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Bucherons ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.

"We'll pocket this win," said Martínez, "and then go after another."
