The Yamatokoriyama Kingyo and Kagoshima Teitoku completed their game despite the rain.

The Yamatokoriyama Kingyo defeated the Kagoshima Teitoku, 5-3. Doing his part was third baseman Kensaku Imamura, who went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Picking up his 7th save was 31-year old left-handed pitcher C.J. Partlow.

Masaaki Hashimoto dealt the Teitoku a blow in the top of the sixth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Yamatokoriyama leading 4-3, Hashimoto, who is tied for 8th in the SL in triples with 2, hit a 2-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"Credit where credit is due," said Hashimoto, "this was a team win."

The Kingyo improved to 28-23.
