Fourches Come Back Late to Top Dons, 3-2
|
The Levis Fourches did just enough to sneak past the Quebec City Dons, 3-2, at Dons Field. Levis pitcher Pedro Sánchez, in particular, had a standout performance. Sánchez, now 4-8, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 9 hits, while striking out 6, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. The Fourches now own a record of 23-22.
Olivier Guegan drove in one run for Levis. In a tie game with no one out in the top of the ninth, Guegan came through with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It put the Fourches in front, 3-2.
"Pedro did a heck of a job," said Levis manager Stephen Glover.
