The Moncton Magnets picked up a win at Magnets Stadium, knocking off the Trois-Rivieres Trifluviens, 6-5, in 10 innings. On the mound for Moncton was right-hander Salvador Ramos. He played a pivotal role in the triumph. Ramos, who is tied for 3rd in the LBQ with a 8.2 K/9 rate, went the distance for Moncton. He gave up 5 runs on 10 hits. The last-place Magnets bumped their record to 12-41.

Moncton got a knockout punch from Samuel Núñez. The designated hitter hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"We need to get rid of the bad mojo," said Núñez. "Maybe this win will help."
