The Laval Insulaires and Thurso Bucherons delighted fans at Bucherons Grounds.

Led by Rufino Corona, the Thurso Bucherons defeated the Laval Insulaires, 8-4. Corona was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Bucherons. Picking up the win was Jeremy Zinck. He went 9 innings, allowing 4 runs on 9 hits. The left--hander struck out 7 and walked 1.

The game turned with one out in the bottom of the seventh. That's when Corona hit a run-scoring single off Kealan Lee. It propelled the Bucherons into the lead, 4-3.

Said Thurso manager Veloso Haldane: "Our approach was outstanding all night long."

The win gives Thurso a season record of 34-27.
