Kamakura pitcher Sergio Madera had a large part in his team subduing the Sabae Megane-ten, 3-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. The second-place Kodaibito are now 60-47, the Megane-ten 49-59.

Kamakura got a knockout punch from Larry McLean. The catcher hammered a 2-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"This place went bonkers," McLean said.
