Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Daiouika
The Hakodate Daiouika beat the Aomori Hotaru by a score of 8-4. Hakodate first baseman Shoichi Koizumi deserved the lion's share of the credit. Koizumi was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Daiouika. Crisanto Camacho, 15-10, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3 innings. The Daiouika raised their record to 39-54.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Daiouika grabbed the lead when Koizumi hit his 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Melquíades Nazario made it 5-4, Hakodate.
