The Lachute Supercalandres beat the Thurso Bucherons, 5-3, in 14 innings. Lachute pitcher and Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, native Eduardo Ayala led the way. Lachute is now 44-32.

Lachute used the timely hitting of Zabulón Orejel to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 14th inning to put the Supercalandres on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame remarks, Orejel simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
