Sault Ste. Marie center fielder Tom Bulmer had a good game, even if his team did not. The Rapids dropped a 6-4 decision to Thessalon at North Stars Stadium. Bulmer was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. The first-place North Stars have won 4 consecutive games.

Thessalon got a clutch hit from Pío Muñoz. The left fielder socked a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was game-ender.
