The Thurso Bucherons knocked off the Sherbrooke Privateers, 8-2, in Ligue du Baseball du Quebec action at Privateers Grounds. Thurso pitcher and Montreal, Canada, native Jeremy Zinck had an outstanding performance. Zinck, who leads the LBQ in wins with 14, went the distance for Thurso. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. The win puts the Bucherons at 44-37, while the Privateers drop to 51-30.

Enrique Castro had a timely hit in the top of the eighth inning. With no one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, the Thurso center fielder hit a run-scoring single. That put the Bucherons in front, 3-2.
