The Sudbury Meteors got production from their entire lineup in an easy 14-1 win over the Sault Ste. Marie Rapids. Doing his part was designated hitter Roberto Vázquez. Vázquez, who is tied for 8th in the OBA in doubles with 23, hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Julián Villanueva picked up the win, lifting his record to 6-13 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 2 in 8.2 innings, while yielding 1 run. The win makes Sudbury 37-50.

In the bottom of the third, Sudbury catcher Teucro Donayre had a run-producing at-bat. Facing Sault Ste. Marie hurler Leopoldo Reyes, Donayre drew a walk, driving in 1 run. That made the score 2-0, Sudbury. For the day, Donayre was 1 for 3 with a walk and was hit by a pitch.
