Kamakura Loses, 12-8, to Hakodate in 15
The Hakodate Daiouika knocked off the Kamakura Kodaibito, 12-8, in Northern League action at Kodaibito Park. Hakodate pitcher and Yatsushiro, Japan, native Nobutsugu Fukudome had an outstanding performance. The 6th-place Daiouika sport a record of 49-57.

The most important at-bat for Hakodate came in the top of the 15th inning, when shortstop Luis López stroked a 0-1 curveball to right for a run-scoring single, putting Hakodate up, 9-8.

"Guys always talk about winning games because of the 'little things,'" Fukudome told the Hakodate Herald. "Call me old fashioned, but I think baseball is about the big things -- like scoring more runs."
