Conditions were not ideal but Halifax and Levis were able to put their game in the books.

The Halifax Batteries topped the Levis Fourches, 10-3, in Ligue du Baseball du Quebec action at Fourches Park. The standout performance belonged to Halifax pitcher and San Juan, Puerto Rico, native Teócrito Salinas. Salinas yielded 3 runs over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 3, and struck out 9. His record improves to 12-10.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Fourches Park seemed to enjoy watching the Ligue du Baseball du Quebec action.

"I just made my pitches," said Salinas, "and the ball kept missing the bat."

Halifax now sports a record of 51-34.
