Teitoku Pull Out Late-Game Win, 6-5
The Kagoshima Teitoku had to overcome a fine effort from Kumamoto pitcher Tokutomi Sakai to win, 6-5, at Teitoku Park. Sakai went 8.1 innings and allowed 4 runs. Kagoshima reliever Yasuyoshi Mizuno picked up the win to move to 4-1. Harry Kane suffered the loss. Kagoshima is now 62-48, Kumamoto 62-48.

The Teitoku were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 27-year old second baseman Mamoru Endo landed a big blow. He turned a 1-0 fastball from Harry Kane into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Teitoku Park denizens into a frenzy and sent the Teitoku home with a thrilling 6-5 win.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Endo said.
