A 3-RBI performance from right fielder Jerry Meehan led the Sherbrooke Privateers to a win over the Laval Insulaires, 10-5. Now 28-60, Laval has lost 12 in a row.

In the top of the fifth inning, first baseman Herman Richards had a key at-bat for the Privateers. With Sherbrooke trailing 5-3, he banged a 2-run home run.

"This game is going to humble you at times and you've got to man up and deal with it," said Laval manager Pitágoras Enríquez.
