Coralejo Shines in 6-5 Trois-Rivieres Win
The Trois-Rivieres Trifluviens stopped the Moncton Magnets, 6-5, at Ballpark of Trois-Rivieres. The Trifluviens got a big game from José Coralejo, who went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a double, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. The winning pitcher was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Steve Noonan. He tossed 111 pitches over 9 innings, allowing 5 runs on 7 hits. At 45-44, the Trifluviens are currently third in the Ligue du Baseball du Quebec Division Maritime.

The Magnets had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Trifluviens going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 28-year old center fielder Roberto Azua came to the plate. Azua hit a 2-run home run on a first pitch sinker from Moncton hurler Salvador Ramos. It was Azua's 4th home run of the year.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Moncton manager Plutarco Carrillo.
