Kamome Pull Off Thrilling 6-5 Win in Extras
Fukushima beat Takasaki at Sakura Park, escaping with a 6-5 win in 11 innings. The win in large part was due to second baseman Guillaume Perrin. He went 4 for 6 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. Arnaldo Pabón, who is tied for 2nd in the NL in holds with 1, was the winner in relief. His record is now 6-5. The losing pitcher was Luis González. The Kamome now have a record of 52-60 with the win over Takasaki.

Benedicto Varela came through with a big-time hit for Fukushima. The third baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"We just try to have good at-bats, whether we're winning, losing, or tied," said Varela.
