The rain came, as predicted, but the Niigata Hakuchoh and Morioka Ayame were able to complete their ballgame.

The Niigata Hakuchoh picked up a win at Hakuchoh Park, topping the Morioka Ayame, 7-4. On the mound for Niigata was right-hander Lyndon Wilson. He played a principal role in the triumph. Wilson, now 11-5, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 4 runs.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the sixth inning, but Wilson was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 2nd and Morioka trailing 5-3, Wilson retired Édgar Casillas, who grounded out.

The first-place Hakuchoh, at 65-49, now lead their division by 2½ games.
