The Moncton Magnets downed the Levis Fourches, 4-1, at Magnets Stadium. Stellar pitching by Salvador Ramos had a lot to do with it. The right-hander, who leads the LBQ in wins with 15, handcuffed his opponent all game. Jim Bernard, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save. Today's win puts Moncton at 56-37, while Levis falls to 50-43.

The Magnets got a big at-bat from center fielder Alberto Robles. For the game, Robles was 1-4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 24th double of the season gave Moncton a 2-0 lead.

"I thought we played a nice game," Robles told the Moncton News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
