Getting an impressive start from Alvin Stamp, Pickering beat Markham by the score of 6-1. Stamp yielded 1 run over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 15-12. The Bonebreakers raised their record to 49-45.
Pickering took advantage of an error in the top of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 1-1, when Rhys Nord hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Bonebreakers in front, 3-1.
"It's easier to pitch when you get run support," said Stamp.
