Markham Loses Again, 5-4
The Pickering Bonebreakers topped the Markham Wheelwrights, 5-4, in Ontario Baseball Association action at Markham Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Pickering pitcher Felipe González. González, now 7-4, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 4 runs. The 4th-place Wheelwrights have dropped 6 straight games.

Pickering used the timely hitting of Honza Fanta to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Bonebreakers on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Both teams played hard," said Pickering manager Adelmo López.
