The Halifax Batteries overcame a pretty good performance by Trois-Rivieres third baseman Luis Castillo, beating the Trifluviens, 6-5, at Ballpark of Trois-Rivieres. Castillo went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Picking up the win was Jaime Bautista. He went 9 innings, allowing 5 runs on 9 hits. The right--hander struck out 5 and walked 4. Halifax bumps their record to 56-43 with the win.

Halifax grabbed control in the top of the seventh. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Timoteo García delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 5-4, in favor of the Batteries.

"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said García. "But I have better dreams after a win."
