The home crowd had a good time watching the Markham Wheelwrights and Hamilton Hammers get after it.

Starting pitcher Telémaco García pitched well enough to help the Hamilton Hammers beat the Markham Wheelwrights, 7-3. Hamilton is 41-63 and Markham, with the loss, 48-52.

Remigio Pérez came through for Hamilton when he hit a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a two-strike curveball to right field, staking his team to a 5-3 lead.

"No time for posing," said Pérez. "The next game will be here before you know it."
