Batteries Lose at Home, 4-0

Batteries Field was the site for Ligue du Baseball du Quebec action featuring the Halifax Batteries and Levis Fourches.
Pedro Sánchez, who is tied for 4th in the LBQ in strikeouts with 192, was terrific for the Levis Fourches in his team's 4-0 triumph over the Halifax Batteries. His performance earned Sánchez rave reviews. Sánchez, now 13-14, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 4, walking 6, and allowing no runs. Rodrigo Fernández notched his 8th save of the season.
In the bottom of the eighth, Luis Saldívar stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Batteries were trailing 4-0, but had the bases loaded. That's when Rodrigo Fernández made a terrific pitch and Saldívar grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Halifax comeback.
The Fourches improved their record to 61-44 by beating Halifax.
