|
Quebec City took on Moncton in a contest which featured a pitchers' duel. Lorenzo Álvarez, in particular, was fantastic. The left-hander helped the Dons snag the win, 2-1, in 10 innings. The losses continue to mount for Moncton, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
Álvarez made it look effortless. He scattered 3 hits over 9.1 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. The Quebec City left-hander encountered little resistance from the Moncton hitters. His season record is now 14-12.
