Sleeping Giants Get Clutch Win, 4-3
The Thunder Bay Sleeping Giants managed to get by the Sudbury Meteors, 4-3, at Sudbury Grounds. Thunder Bay pitcher Alfonso López set himself apart with his performance. Sotero Ramírez closed it out for Thunder Bay, earning his 8th save. Thunder Bay raised its record to 53-52 with the win.

Thunder Bay used the timely hitting of Benoît Bouquet to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Sleeping Giants on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We took home the win," said Bouquet. "What's not to like?"
