The home crowd had a good time watching the Pickering Bonebreakers and Sault Ste. Marie Rapids get after it.

The Sault Ste. Marie Rapids beat the Pickering Bonebreakers, 3-1, at Rapids Park. Starting pitcher Oliverio Rohena was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. In 9 innings, Rohena surrendered 10 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run.

Early in the game, first baseman Justin Williams had a 2-run home run for Sault Ste. Marie. It was his 26th home run of the season and put the Rapids on top, 2-0.

"There were things that we could've improved upon," said Rapids manager Álvaro López, "but all in all, I'm satisfied with our performance."

Sault Ste. Marie, now 66-43, holds down first place in the Ontario Baseball Association Ontario North.
