The Laval Insulaires knocked off the Trois-Rivieres Trifluviens, 3-2, in Ligue du Baseball du Quebec action at Insulaires Field. Laval pitcher and Dublin, Ireland, native Kealan Lee had an outstanding performance. Lee got the win, improving to 5-24. He gave up 4 hits and walked 3 over 9 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The Insulaires raised their record to 32-77.

Federico Zaragoza played the role of hero for Laval. In the bottom of the ninth, he launched a solo home run off Fulco Quiñones to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.

"We were in it," said Trois-Rivieres manager Eliezer García. "We just didn't score enough runs."
