Loss Spoils Fine Performance by Harper
The Brampton Florists weathered a fine game by Thessalon center fielder Jeff Harper to upend the North Stars, 14-10, at North Stars Stadium. Harper was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 4. The win elevated the Florists to 60-50.

Brampton used a well-timed hit by Artemisio Ríos to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Florists ahead, 10-9. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

Thessalon manager Fabricio Ochoa said he was disappointed with the loss. "Whenever you score in double digits, you expect to win the game."
