The Sault Ste. Marie Rapids defeated the Pickering Bonebreakers, 5-3, in Ontario Baseball Association action at Rapids Park. Sault Ste. Marie pitcher Lucas Galindo had a standout performance. In 9 innings, Galindo surrendered 9 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. The first-place Rapids improved to 67-43.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Rapids grabbed the lead when Anatolio Salais rapped a two-out single. Sault Ste. Marie was trailing 2-1, when Salais hit a 2-run single off Alvin Stamp to put his team in front, 3-2.

"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," Galindo said in postgame remarks. "Soon enough, the finish line will be in sight."
