Auburn Wins Pennant Championship Series
The Auburn Cordwainers are riding high after knocking off the Brattleboro Melodeons in the Pennant Championship Series.

"We're feeling confident now and that's half the battle," said Mario Siller, who was named series MVP. "You play confidently, you play well and it shows up with results like this."

Auburn won the final game by a 9-4 count at Harmonious Grounds and the series 4-2.

For the series, Siller hit .455 with a .440 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 7 runs.

The Auburn Cordwainers will play against the Winchendon Rocking Horses in the next round. Winchendon won their series against the Cranston Madonnas 4 games to 1. The Championship of New England schedule will be announced after the Pennant Championship Series finishes.
