The Kitchener Wild Pigeons overcame a pretty good performance by Brampton right fielder Tibulo Ruiz, beating the Florists, 6-5, at Florists Grounds. Ruiz went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Lisandro Acevedo, the winning pitcher, is now 20-13. He went 9 innings, allowing 5 runs on 9 hits, while fanning 6 and walking 2. Kitchener bumps their record to 67-51 with the win.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Juan Ocampo? The Kitchener right fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Wild Pigeons on top, 2-0. For the game, Ocampo had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
