Extra-Inning Win by Dons Over Fourches
|
Pitcher Habbo Schenkel was rock solid in helping the Quebec City Dons beat the Levis Fourches, 3-0, in 10 innings. Schenkel, now 9-6, was the winner. In 10 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing no runs. The second-place Dons have won 5 straight games.
Quebec City got a clutch hit from Teócrito Cabán. The designated hitter launched a 3-run home run in the bottom of the tenth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.
"There's a lot in this game you can't control. Just take what the game gives you. I was just doing my best to help the team win," Schenkel told the Quebec City News.
