Rapids Pull Off Thrilling 7-4 Win in Extras
The Sault Ste. Marie Rapids and Nipissing Air Marshals completed their game despite the inclement weather.

The Sault Ste. Marie Rapids defeated the Nipissing Air Marshals, 7-4. Doing his part was center fielder Luis Amaya, who went 2 for 2 with 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Sault Ste. Marie reliever Lidio Rodríguez picked up the win to move to 3-3. Kekeletso Mahao suffered the loss.

Had Amaya not come through in the top of the tenth, the outcome might have changed. Instead, with two down, Amaya hit a 2-run single. The Rapids never looked back after taking the 6-4 lead.

"We take it day by day here," said Amaya, "and today was a good one for us."

Sault Ste. Marie is last in the Ontario Baseball Association Ontario North with a record of 45-77.
