Syracuse Takes Interleague Series in Deciding Game
When the entire season comes down to one game, Juan Rubio said you find out what a team is really about.

As it turns out, the Syracuse Halites are made of fight and tenacity, as the team got by the Meadville Zips 7-1 tonight at Salt City Park in order to win the Interleague Series and book a place in the next round.

"It wasn't hard to get excited for this game," said Rubio, whose strong offensive output earned him MVP honors. "Our guys answered the call and proved a lot about what our team is all about."

Rubio hit .300 with a .333 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Syracuse Halites will play against the Mentor Rose Stockings in the next round. Mentor won their series against the London Regulars 3 games to 1. The Pennant Series schedule will be announced after the Interleague Series finishes.
