Bucherons Fall to Batteries Late
The Halifax Batteries topped the Thurso Bucherons, 5-3, in Ligue du Baseball du Quebec action at Batteries Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Halifax pitcher Jaime Bautista. Bautista went the distance for Halifax. He gave up 3 runs on 7 hits. At 67-52, the Batteries find themselves in second place in the Ligue du Baseball du Quebec Division Maritime.

Had Jorge González not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, González hit a 2-run single. That made the score 5-3, in favor of the Batteries.
