The Trois-Rivieres Trifluviens faced a tough opponent in Sherbrooke pitcher Hernán Gutiérrez, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Privateers Grounds by a final score of 4-3. Gutiérrez went 11.2 innings and allowed 4 runs. Reliever Harmon Beck picked up the win. His record improves to 3-3. Hernán Gutiérrez took the loss. The 4th-place Trifluviens have won 6 in a row.

Trois-Rivieres used a timely hit from Telmo Adorno to get the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 12th inning to put the Trifluviens ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Adorno. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
