The Sault Ste. Marie Rapids knocked off the Sudbury Meteors, 7-4, in Ontario Baseball Association action at Sudbury Grounds. Sault Ste. Marie pitcher and San Juan, Puerto Rico, native Lucas Galindo had an outstanding performance. Galindo, who is tied for 2nd in the OBA with a 2.74 ERA, went the distance for Sault Ste. Marie. He gave up 4 runs on 5 hits. The Rapids now have a record of 74-48 with the win over Sudbury.

Sault Ste. Marie took advantage of an error in the top of the ninth inning. The game was tied, 4-4, when Humberto Flores hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put the Rapids in front, 6-4.

"This was a nice win for us," said Flores. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
