Their bats were silent and Trujillo Alto had a rookie on the mound. No problem.

On a day when the Arrecostaos struggled to string together much offense, the club got a big boost from 19-year-old starter Isaia Faraimo. The right-hander quieted the Arecibo Cachorros at Parquecito de Trujillo Alto to help Trujillo Alto take the 3-0 decision and seize a 1-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Campeonato Veraniego de Principiantes.

Faraimo was nothing short of fantastic for Trujillo Alto. The right-hander tossed a complete game shutout, allowing the Cachorros only 3 hits.

"Nothing better," said Faraimo, "than stifling a good team."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Parquecito de Trujillo Alto in Trujillo Alto.
