Behind a bravura effort from starter Aldomiro González, the Puerto La Cruz Timoneles topped the Maracaibo Independientes by the score of 4-3 and got their first win in the 1915 Campeonato Nacional de Venezuela. González threw 9.0 innings allowing 3 runs for the Timoneles. The win narrows Puerto La Cruz's deficit to 2-1.

In the top of the sixth, with Puerto La Cruz leading 3-0, third baseman Filemón Pignault hit a run-scoring single. The hit came off Práxedes Vega and put the Timoneles ahead, 4-0.

After the game, Puerto La Cruz manager Egidio Martínez applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Estadio de Maracaibo in Maracaibo.
