Trujillo Alto Wins Campeonato de las Ligas
In what will no doubt go down as a classic Liga Veraniega de Principiantes series for both clubs, the Trujillo Alto Arrecostaos prevailed over the Ciales Guapetones in the Campeonato de las Ligas today.

With the ups and downs of the series thrilling fans on both sides, Trujillo Alto won the final game by a score of 2-0 and took the series 3-2.

"In the end, it's our fans who went home happy, but a series like this is good for all fans and for everyone in baseball," said Trujillo Alto starting pitcher Haley Johnson, who earned series MVP honors.

Johnson posted a 1.50 ERA on the series, throwing 18 innings and posting a 2-0 record.

The Trujillo Alto Arrecostaos don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Cabo Rojo Maravillosos - Arecibo Cachorros series. That series is tied at 2 games apiece. The Campeonato Veraniego de Principiantes schedule will be announced after the Campeonato de las Ligas finishes.
