Rose Stockings One Win Away from Championship of the Great Lakes Clincher
When the games really matter, the Mentor Rose Stockings put on their best show, beating the Saginaw Joes by a final score of 6-4. Moose McCormick was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Mentor now leads Saginaw 3-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, McCormick delivered for Mentor. That's when he hit a 2-run home run off Carmelo Collazo to win the game.

"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Mentor skipper Carl Purchase. "It's important to have different ways to do it."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Rosebush in Mentor.
