Though the conditions were not ideal, the Cayey Brumosos and Las Piedras Peritos came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The 4-hit performance of Crispín Rivera helped the Cayey Brumosos beat the Las Piedras Peritos, 7-2. Picking up the win was Gaspar Álvarez. He went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 2.

Cayey used a clutch hit from Pablo Galeana to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Brumosos ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said Cayey skipper Carlos Fregoso.

The loss has the Peritos at 1-2.
