Wet weather did not postpone the Lares-Moca ballgame.

The Lares Gritantes stormed past the Moca Comefuegos, 12-4, at Parquecito de Lares. Lares second basemanDiego Bru led the hit parade. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the win was Wally Walch. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits. The right--hander struck out 3 and walked 2. Pascual Quijano collected his 1st save.

Bru in the bottom of the third had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and the Gritantes trailing 3-0, he hit a 3-run home run.

"Bad day," Moca manager Jake Scott said. "New day tomorrow."

The loss drops Moca to 1-3.
