Aprendices Snatch Late Win
The Guayama Aprendices did just enough to sneak past the Aibonito Limbers, 3-2, at Parquecito de Aibonito. Guayama pitcher Pablo Hernández, in particular, had a standout performance. Chim Phan got credit for the save for Guayama. It was his 3rd of the year. Aibonito, with the loss, is still a hardy 4-1.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Claudio Abeja? The 20-year old left fielder Abeja stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Guayama up, 3-2. For the game, he was 3 for 5, including 1 double and 2 singles.

"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Hernández.
