The Juncos Chiringas picked up a win at Parquecito de Fajardo, topping the Fajardo Camorristas, 5-3. On the mound for Juncos was right-hander Eduardo Gallegos. He played a principal role in the triumph. The winner in relief was Políbio Muraro. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings.

Juncos used the clutch hitting of Efraín Ureña to snag the win. The shortstop drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Chiringas ahead, 5-3. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"We take it day by day here," said Gallegos, "and today was a good one for us."
