The Caguas Ruidosos defeated the Barranquitas Insignes, 8-3, in Liga José Padilla action at Parquecito de Caguas. Caguas pitcher Ramón Ayala had a standout performance. The win gives Caguas a record of 8-1.

Eladio Vásquez was 1-4 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Caguas. The 19-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a 2-run single off Quilón Santos. It was his 4th hit of the season.

"Ramón gave us a really strong effort," said Caguas manager Eliseo Apodaca.
