A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Barranquitas Insignes and Ciales Guapetones.

The exploits of third baseman Raúl Martínez helped the Barranquitas Insignes defeat the Ciales Guapetones, 8-0. Martínez went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Ciales, at 3-8, is off to a poor start in 1908.

In the first inning, Martínez had a grand slam home run for Barranquitas. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Insignes on top, 5-0.

"We were firing on all cylinders," said Insignes manager Nuño Rodríguez.
